Update On Name Snafu Issue

We received a brief update from our agency today. Although it is not much, it seems we are moving in the right direction once again! Here's a recap:

Hi. I have a teeny tiny bit of news this morning. Our agency's in-China staff spoke with their contact at the US Consulate in Guangzhou to try to get an update. The contact there assured our agency's in-China staff that everything will be resolved "soon" (whatever that means) and that we will hear from the NBC regarding what they need. Evidently the NBC will contact us (our our agency) directly. After the NBC has received the official request from the Consulate, which supposedly will get to them today or tomorrow, then our agency should have instructions on what to do with the newly signed revised LOSC. Hoping to hear from the NBC today or tomorrow at the latest.

Like I said, it is not much, be it seems positive and like things are finally going to move forward (finally) and hoping the entire issue will be resolved yet this week so that our file can be sent to the CCAA and we can get in the "official" line for the issuance of our TA. We are hopeful (but its looking no likely) that we could travel yet late this month. If not, then we'll hopefully go the early part of September, but if that is the case, we are hoping it is after Sammie starts school so she can at least experience the start of the school year before her world is turned upside down!
